Nairobi Wildlife Circuit Full Day

The full Nairobi wildlife day, run in the only order that actually works. You start at the park gate soon after 06:00 while the animals are still moving, take the game drive across open plain with lion, rhino, buffalo, giraffe and zebra set against the city skyline, and time your exit for the Sheldrick nursery's public hour, which runs 11:00 to 12:00 and moves for nobody. After lunch it is the Giraffe Centre at Langata, where the Rothschild's giraffes come to a raised platform and take pellets from your hand. The sequencing is the whole trick. The Sheldrick nursery opens to the public for exactly one hour a day, requires advance booking by email, and accepts no same-day visitors. Get the morning wrong and the day collapses. On fees, this package carries more entry cost than any other Nairobi day tour we run: roughly USD 137 per adult, made up of Kenya Wildlife Service park entry at USD 80, the Sheldrick donation at USD 20, the Giraffe Centre at KES 1,500 and the Nairobi Safari Walk at USD 25. Every one of those is inside the price you see. The Sheldrick point deserves spelling out because it catches people constantly. The nursery sits inside Nairobi National Park and you enter through the Mbagathi Gate, which means you pay the full USD 80 park fee whether or not you go on to do a game drive. Operators selling a Sheldrick and Giraffe Centre morning at USD 45 are not including it, and their guests find out at the gate. Price per person falls as the vehicle fills: USD 260 at four sharing, USD 320 to USD 340 at two, and from USD 435 for one traveller.
